I grew up in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania, forty minutes northeast of Philadelphia. I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in English, and am now a full-time artist living in Huntsville, Alabama.
The recurring and intermingling themes of my life center on my love of animals and my love of beauty. The longest portion of my professional life was spent as a veterinary technician. My home is alive with a menagerie of pets. And in recent times I have rekindled the artistic roots of my youth and vigorously pursued drawing and painting first as a pastime and now as a career.
I work in a variety of media and on a variety of surfaces, but regardless of the particulars it is here that most often my dual loves of animals and beauty come together. I work in watercolor and love to use chinese techniques. I do acrylic pet portrait commissions on river rocks. My first love, however, and passion, is oils, and enjoy applying the techniques of the old masters and the impressionists in my works. I consider myself to be continuously evolving as an artist, so check back here often, you never know what you will find.
